Tensions Escalate as Israel Deals with Southern Lebanon Unrest

Israel has escalated its military actions in southern Lebanon, issuing new evacuation orders after a soldier was killed, and warning residents in seven towns to move away from the buffer zone it once occupied.

A statement from the Israeli military indicated that Hezbollah, a Lebanese armed group, was breaching the ceasefire, prompting further Israeli operations targeting Hezbollah assets including rocket launchers and weapon depots.
