Gunny Bag Scam: Allegations Ignite Political Storm in Punjab

Allegations of a gunny bag scam have roiled Punjab's political landscape as BJP state president Sunil Jakhar has raised concerns of corruption in procurement processes.

In a letter to Union minister Pralhad Joshi, Jakhar accused the AAP government of purchasing old gunny bags at Rs 43.89 each, despite their market price being Rs 22 per bag.

Jakhar called for an immediate investigation into these irregularities, asserting that if allegations hold true, those responsible must be held accountable under the law.
