A 30-year-old criminal was fatally shot during a late-night shootout with law enforcement on the outskirts of Jammu, according to police reports.
The confrontation occurred in the Miran Sahib area after police received intelligence on the movements of two notorious criminals, linked to over a dozen serious offenses, including attempted murder and arms smuggling.
One suspect was discovered injured in a canal and later declared dead at the hospital. An ongoing search operation is underway for the second suspect.
