The case, initially filed at Uttar Kashi police station and concerning a potentially dangerous stash of explosives, was transferred to the NIA. The illegal bombs posed significant risks to public safety, as outlined by a spokesperson from the agency.
This development coincides with the Election Commission's directive for West Bengal Police to intensify efforts against illegal bomb manufacturing. This follows the seizure of bombs at the South 24 Parganas residence of a man linked to the TMC and highlights the tense pre-election atmosphere.
