In a decisive move ahead of the one-day special session of the Uttar Pradesh assembly, women BJP MLAs took to the Vidhan Bhawan complex to voice their discontent against opposition parties.
The protest centered on the opposition's role in obstructing the passage of the Women's Reservation Law in the Lok Sabha. Holding banners echoing the slogan 'Insult to Matrushakti, India will not tolerate it,' the BJP women legislators demonstrated determination to secure their rights.
State Minister Baby Rani Maurya expressed resolve, emphasizing the political price the opposition would bear for opposing the bill. Minister Vijaylakshmi Gautam and BJP MLA Ketki Singh condemned the opposition's actions, calling for widespread support across the state. A censure motion against the opposition is expected in the session.
