In a significant crackdown on wildlife crime, Odisha vigilance officers on Thursday seized a leopard skin from two individuals involved in illicit wildlife trade.
The operation, based on a strategic tip-off, took place in Karanjkata village under the Puruna-Katak police station in Boudh district.
The accused, identified as Abhay Nayak and Nilakantha Kanhar, were arrested and charged under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. An investigation is underway, officials confirmed.
