A heartbreaking incident unfolded in the Mahoba district as two young boys, Ritesh and Aryan, drowned while bathing near the Urmil Dam on Thursday evening.
Police received the distress call at 7:30 pm, promptly dispatching a rescue team to the location. The inquiry revealed that the boys, aged 7 and 8, slipped into deep water.
Despite efforts by divers, their bodies were eventually recovered. The incident was reported by a young girl who witnessed the tragedy. Legal proceedings are currently in progress.
