The Patiala House Courts have ordered a renewed investigation into the mysterious disappearance of two community dogs, Kaddu and Brownie, from Delhi's IGI Airport. This directive comes amid allegations that the prior inquiry lacked serious effort and detail.
The complainant, Rashim Sharma, claims the dogs have been untraceable for over a month after an alleged illegal relocation from the airport. The court is unsatisfied with the status reports presented by the police, describing them as incomplete and lacking in substantial findings.
CCTV footage displayed an individual enticing a dog into a vehicle, but the investigation has so far yielded no clear conclusions. The court has criticized the investigation for failing to collect basic information, such as vaccination and sterilization records, and for not probing the potential involvement of alleged perpetrators. A new hearing is scheduled for May 11.
