BJP's Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh has called on the Uttar Pradesh government to devise an inclusive policy focused on education, healthcare, housing, and social security for laborers. In his letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Singh emphasized the necessity for initiatives that extend beyond employment to ensure holistic well-being.
Singh highlighted the pressing need to address the core requirements of workers, such as quality education for their children, effective healthcare, safe housing, and overall life sustenance. He pointed to recent labor unrest in Gautam Buddha Nagar as evidence of the urgent need for concrete interventions.
To address these challenges, Singh recommends free and accessible education, expanded healthcare services, and affordable housing situated near workplaces. Furthermore, he suggests integrating laborers into social security schemes and proposes a "Green Card" for accessing free healthcare services statewide.
