The Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary highlighted the pivotal role the Enforcement Directorate (ED) plays in fighting India's financial crimes, asserting that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, the ED has been empowered to tackle issues like money laundering and corporate fraud effectively.
Though opposition claims the ED serves as a tool for political targeting, Chaudhary counters that with the ED's expanded powers, the focus remains on combating financial crimes to ensure the nation's security. He praised the agency for its notable contributions, including asset recovery worth Rs 2.36 lakh crore.
Chaudhary further aligned the ED's mission with Prime Minister Modi's vision of a corruption-free India, with a strong emphasis on the law treating everyone equally, regardless of power or position, to maintain economic integrity nationwide.
