The boy was reportedly hung upside down by the cook, and the warden is said to have assisted in this act, according to police reports from Punalur station. Fortunately, the victim has not suffered any health issues as a result of the assault and is reportedly fine.
The incident came to light after the student confided in his parents, prompting his father to lodge a formal complaint. Both suspects have been charged under the Juvenile Justice Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and are now facing legal proceedings.
