A 30-year-old motorcyclist was tragically killed in a road accident on Saturday, police reported. The incident occurred near Mangouli village when a speeding truck collided with the victim from behind.
The deceased, identified as Pankaj Upadhyay, hailed from Girja Morh in the Baldirai police station area. The accident took place under the jurisdiction of the Jagdishpur police station, instantly claiming Upadhyay's life.
Police have taken swift action by detaining the truck along with its driver, and the body has been sent for postmortem examination, stated Jagdishpur SHO Dhirendra Kumar Yadav.
