Sweet Heist: Shop Helper's Clever Cash Snatch in Delhi

In a case that underscores the importance of vigilance, a sweet shop helper in Delhi was apprehended after allegedly stealing a hefty Rs 3.85 lakh. The accused, Sanjay Sharma, hails from Gwalior and was working in the Chawri Bazar area of central Delhi.
The theft unfolded on the night of April 28, according to police, when Sharma reportedly took the keys, re-entered his employer's shop, and made off with the money. This act of deceit was captured by CCTV cameras.
Police employed technical surveillance to track Sharma, who often changed locations to throw off authorities. The thief was eventually apprehended in Gwalior. Police managed to recover Rs 1.28 lakh from him and trace Rs 1.97 lakh in his bank account. Investigations continue.
