Drone Strike Tragedy in Sudan: Civilians Targeted

In Sudan, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) executed a deadly drone strike that resulted in the deaths of at least five individuals, according to a local Sudanese rights group. The attack occurred Saturday morning on the outskirts of Khartoum, striking a civilian vehicle traveling from the White Nile province to Omdurman.
Emergency Lawyers, a rights group monitoring civilian safety, reported this incident represents an ongoing threat against civilians in public domains and densely populated zones. Although RSF has not claimed responsibility, the group stands accused of violating international humanitarian law.
The conflict between the RSF and Sudanese Armed Forces has resulted in a significant loss of life since it erupted in April 2023, with more than 59,000 casualties reported. Aid organizations suggest actual numbers may be considerably higher, due to restricted access in conflict zones.
