Delhi Police have opened an investigation into the death of a Delhi Judicial Services officer, Aman Kumar Sharma, under serious circumstances, an official disclosed on Sunday.
The case, registered as abetment to suicide and criminal conspiracy, follows a complaint by the deceased's father. Aman Sharma, 30, allegedly died by hanging, according to a preliminary inquiry. The police have lodged an FIR at the Safdarjung Enclave police station under Sections 108 and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Family members have made serious allegations, citing harassment by his wife and sister-in-law in the days preceding his death. They reported a dispute between the couple, both judicial officers, on the night of the incident. Investigations are ongoing, police confirmed.
