US Evacuates MV Touska Crew from Seized Iranian Ship

The United States has evacuated 22 crew members from the Iranian ship 'MV Touska' to Pakistan as part of efforts to build confidence amid ongoing regional tensions. The ship, seized by US forces in the Gulf of Oman on April 19, is linked to the Iran Shipping Lines, which is under US sanctions.

In a statement, Pakistan's Foreign Office confirmed the evacuation and said the ship will be transported to Pakistani territorial waters for repair before being returned to its rightful owners. This development is seen as a facilitative gesture, coordinated with both Iranian and US authorities.
