A man reported being severely assaulted and robbed of Rs 80,000 by a club employee and bouncers, according to police announcements on Monday. The alleged incident occurred at Para Club, sparking a police investigation after a formal complaint was lodged by Harshit Bahirwani.
Bahirwani, a DLF Phase 3 resident, visited Para Club on May 2 with a large sum of cash. He claims he was attacked by six club staff members when he attempted to defend his money. However, the club owner, Jogendra Singh, contended that Bahirwani, a regular patron, was upset because the club was closed and beer was not served.
Singh alleged that the complainant was inebriated and no assault occurred, although CCTV footage revealed a subsequent scuffle. The footage didn't confirm any theft. Police noted the club's hours of operation were illegally extended, violating government regulations.
