In a significant breakthrough, a sub-zonal commander of the banned outfit Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC) has been apprehended in Jharkhand's Latehar district. The arrest took place following a well-coordinated police raid, uncovering a stockpile of arms and vital information on the organization's operations.
The apprehended 42-year-old, a long-time affiliate of the Maoist splinter group, faces no less than 16 existing criminal charges across several state districts. The police operation, informed by prior intelligence, unearthed a pistol, cartridges, and other items crucial to ongoing investigations.
Relying on information extracted during intense interrogation, the Jharkhand police aim to dismantle remaining factions of the group and bring remaining perpetrators to justice. Security forces remain vigilant as they pursue associates and supporters aiding the outlawed TSPC.
