Four Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) employees in Nashik face judicial custody until May 18 over alleged religious conversion of a colleague. Prosecutors also accuse them of sexual harassment at the IT company's local office.
The suspects were detained on April 23 under several Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections, covering sexual harassment and acts intending to insult religious feelings. They appeared before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate S V Lad, who approved the prosecution's request for judicial custody.
TCS reiterated its strict no-tolerance policy against any harassment or coercion, confirming the suspension of implicated employees. The case continues to unfold as the company grapples with these serious allegations.
