Targeted Attack Claims Life of Prominent Cleric in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

On Tuesday, a respected cleric, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Muhammad Idrees, was fatally shot by unknown gunmen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The attack occurred in the Utmanzai area of Charsadda district, leaving two of his security guards injured. Idrees succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital.
The killing triggered widespread protests, with demonstrators blocking major roads and demanding swift justice. Police suspect the involvement of four terrorists, as surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects. A manhunt is underway to apprehend those responsible for this targeted attack.
High-profile figures, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, have expressed their condolences and condemned the attack. Authorities aim to restore peace and order amid rising concerns about security in the province.
