Tragedy Strikes: Boko Haram Targets Chad's Military

Boko Haram militants have once again unleashed terror in the Lake Chad region, claiming the lives of 23 soldiers in a brutal attack on a military post.

The assault, which took place on Monday night on Barka Tolorom island, highlights the persistent threat the Nigeria-based group poses to its neighboring countries.

Chad's military has reported that, in addition to the deaths, 26 more soldiers were wounded in this violent encounter.
