In a shocking act of violence, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Muhammad Idrees was fatally shot by gunmen associated with the Islamic State in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday.
The attack occurred in the Utmanzai area, where the cleric's vehicle was ambushed, also leaving two security guards injured. Idrees was en route to deliver a lecture when the incident unfolded.
