The West Bengal government on Tuesday directed all departments to undertake a thorough evaluation and organization of physical records. This action aligns with existing administrative standards aimed at enhancing record management.
In a recent order, the chief secretary emphasized the need for departments to account for and maintain their documents in a well-structured and indexed manner as stated in the West Bengal Secretariat Manual.
