A strange incident in Jalandhar, Punjab, has stirred public anxiety and political discourse after a scooter unexpectedly burst into flames near BSF Chowk. The blaze, which occurred outside the Border Security Force's Punjab Frontier headquarters, sparked fears due to an alleged explosion-like sound heard by locals.
The Jalandhar Police, led by Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur, swiftly launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, which materialized as a lone scooter parked on the bustling road. Although a 22-year-old delivery rider, Gurpreet Singh, was identified as the owner, no injuries were reported.
Amid the probe, opposition factions, including the Punjab Congress, have criticized the AAP administration, emphasizing the potential law and order collapse in a border-sensitive state. They rebuked both the state and central governments for alleged security failures, demanding immediate action and assurance of public safety.
