London Bolsters Security for Jewish Community Amid Rising Antisemitism

British police are initiating a specialized team comprising 100 officers, including counter-terrorism experts, aimed at enhancing the safety of Jewish communities in London. This strategic move follows a string of antisemitic incidents, notably the stabbing of two Jewish men, amidst an environment of heightened threat levels.

London's police chief, Mark Rowley, highlighted the ongoing menace posed to the Jewish community by hostile state entities and extremist factions, such as right-wing, radical leftist groups, and Islamist terrorists. Current investigations delve into potential Iranian involvement in arson cases, underscoring the geopolitical complexities at play.

Since late March, arson attacks have targeted Jewish infrastructures, with four ambulances destroyed and synagogues attacked.
