Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has declared the country's borders as India's 'backbone,' highlighting the rich tradition of courage in border hamlets. During a public rally in Regal, Samba district, Sinha unveiled several development projects aimed at improving local infrastructure and promoting economic growth.
The projects include a digital library, a community hall, and recreation center, Amrit Sarovar development, installing solar street lights, and open gyms. Under the Vibrant Villages program, these efforts seek to integrate border communities into the national mainstream, focusing on roads, telecom, television, and electrification.
Sinha assured the local populace of the administration's dedication to elevating border settlements, promising land rights for displaced persons and aspires to eliminate poverty by 2030. He praised the village's TB-free status, advocated for clean drinking water, and committed to combating drug abuse. Recognition was also given to local police forces for their determined service.
