Four individuals have been arrested in Gurugram for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a 22-year-old man, police revealed on Wednesday. The suspects reportedly used the Grindr app to lure their victim, subsequently transferring money from his account under duress.
The victim, who filed a complaint on Tuesday, claimed he was accosted by a group in a white Swift car near his rented home, forcibly taken to a remote location, and assaulted. Threatened with death, he was coerced into surrendering Rs 2,500 before escaping.
Police, who have launched an investigation, have taken the accused into custody and identified them as Ashish, Naresh Kumar, Shivam, and Ashu from various Haryana villages. They admitted to using the victim's Grindr account to perpetrate the crime, driven by their addiction to drugs.
