Russia announced on Thursday that its air defenses successfully intercepted 32 drones aimed at Moscow as the nation readies itself for the May 9 Victory Day ceremonies.
In a message on Telegram, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin detailed that the city's defenses were actively countering Ukrainian drones targeting the capital.
Earlier this week, Russia's defense ministry cautioned that any Ukrainian attacks during the scaled-back events would meet with a substantial missile strike on Kyiv's central area.
