Former Maoist Leader Plans to Pursue Law After Surrender

Tippiri Tirupati, a senior Maoist leader who recently emerged from over four decades of underground life, has expressed a desire to pursue higher education in law. Turning himself in to the Telangana Police, Tirupati is now planning to complete his education, starting with finishing the 12th standard that was left incomplete in the early 1980s.

Speaking about his aspiration, Tirupati said, 'If I have to work in the legal framework, I have to study laws in depth. I would like to study law.' Despite his surrender, Tirupati emphasized he did not join the mainstream but resumed an open life, continuing his involvement with people's issues.

He has also shown concern over unemployment and poverty in the country, citing the impact of Artificial Intelligence on job losses. Although not interested in politics, he demands the government lift the ban on CPI (Maoist) and recognize it as a political entity. Tirupati's aspirations to study law mark a new chapter in his life aimed at working within the legal system.
