A man was arrested here on Friday for allegedly issuing death and bomb threat against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath using another person's identity to frame him over an old rivalry, police said. The accused was identified as Nitesh Katiyar, a resident of Shahjahanpur district and works as a sanitation worker. Ganga Nagar Deputy Commissioner of Police Kuldeep Gunawat said Katiyar allegedly misused his ex-fiance's brother's identity and posted objectionable remarks and threats against the chief minister on WhatsApp. During questioning, Katiyar told police that he had been engaged to the sister of the person whose identity he alleged used. However, after his engagement was called off, Katiyar decided to frame the woman's brother out of spite, police said. A case was then registered at Mauaima police station against Katiyar under relevant sections of the BNS based on a complaint received, following which he was arrested near Baraipur.
