The accident took place around midnight near Jakheda Rahmatpur village. According to police, the truck was at high speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle. Several occupants were trapped underneath the vehicle. Passersby alerted the police after hearing cries for help, following which rescue teams reached the spot and pulled out the victims. Circle Officer Stuti Singh said Sridevi (30) and her nine-year-old son Abhijeet, both residents of Hardoi district, and Savitri Devi (33), a resident of Bareilly district, died in the accident. Two injured persons, identified as Abhishek and Lalaram, were admitted to a hospital.
