On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy engaged in discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, focusing on efforts to secure the safe return of Ukrainians detained in Russia and the ongoing conflict in Iran.
In response to the challenges presented by the Iran war, Ukraine has extended its expert knowledge in drone countermeasures to the UAE and other nations in the Middle East. A 10-year defense cooperation agreement between Kyiv and the UAE has been formalized.
Zelenskiy expressed appreciation on platform X for the fruitful collaboration, highlighting the UAE's role in supporting Ukraine's energy needs and the successful implementation of bilateral agreements based on reciprocity and mutual benefit.
