In an effort to modernize and expedite the complaint filing process, Shahjahanpur district police have launched an innovative initiative. This program allows distressed citizens to lodge complaints directly with Police Response Vehicles (PRVs) rather than having to visit police stations, officials announced on Tuesday.
Initiated on Sunday night, PRV teams are now tasked with collecting written grievances from victims at the scene, immediately forwarding them to appropriate police stations for swift action. According to police, this system has processed 66 complaints within the first 24 hours, with a significant number already addressed.
Superintendent of Police Saurabh Dixit highlighted issues with the previous system where complainants from distant areas faced unnecessary delays and expenditures. This new approach aims to eliminate these drawbacks, offering faster resolution and ensuring evidence is collected promptly at crime scenes.
