Union minister Krishan Pal Gurjar has alleged that officials from the Faridabad Municipal Corporation have mismanaged funds, turning the city into a 'den of loot'. The issue was raised during a District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting in Faridabad on Tuesday.
Gurjar publicly reprimanded municipal officials, including Chief Engineer, over alleged embezzlement and poor infrastructure projects, warning of strict action. He accused them of funneling funds through contractors, leading to subpar roads and nonexistent trees despite billings worth lakhs.
In response, Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda shared a video of the meeting, criticizing the lack of accountability. Local MLAs Sharma and Adlakha echoed concerns, demanding better oversight and addressing road closures without public consultation.
