Unraveling the Online Shopping Scam: Delhi Police Arrests Key Suspect

Delhi Police have apprehended Sarup Khan from Rajasthan on charges of running an elaborate online shopping scam.

The swindle targeted unsuspecting buyers through fake social media ads, promising discounted branded ethnic wear. Upon gaining interest from potential customers, fraudsters convinced them to transfer funds, claiming they were for booking and delivery charges.

However, once the payments were made, communication was abruptly cut off. Technical investigations revealed the operations stemmed from Alwar, where a sophisticated cyber fraud network was uncovered. Efforts to track the financial trail of the deceit led police to discover mule bank accounts and other deceptive practices.
