In a significant move to enforce department discipline, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Lakhimpur Kheri, Khyati Garg, has suspended 14 police personnel. This decisive action comes after an internal review pinpointed unauthorized absenteeism of over a month by the personnel concerned.
The suspended team members, comprising head constables, constables, and others, were serving at various police establishments including the UP-112 emergency response service. The departmental breach prompted immediate suspension to uphold operational efficiency and discipline.
Dr. Garg, in her statement, emphasized the importance of accountability and order within the police force, highlighting ongoing departmental inquiries to address the lapses and prevent such occurrences in the future.
