In a pressing call for action, Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari on Thursday urged the Indian government to swiftly engage in dialogue with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. While the central decision on talks with Pakistan remains pending, Bukhari emphasized the need to address internal issues posthaste.
Bukhari highlighted the growing restlessness among residents, particularly the youth, due to unresolved issues such as unemployment and the difficulties in obtaining passports, which hinder opportunities abroad. He further cited soaring inflation as an additional strain on families.
Furthermore, Bukhari pointed out significant challenges facing key economic sectors like agriculture, horticulture, tourism, and industry, urging immediate government intervention to prevent further deterioration of the region's economy and daily life.
