The Allahabad High Court has mandated the central government to swiftly decide on a recent security plea by Vignesh Shishir, a BJP worker based in Karnataka.
Shishir, who is known for petitions against Rahul Gandhi, demands Z-plus security citing heightened threats. Earlier, he was provided continuous protection through the Central Armed Police Forces.
Representing the Centre, senior advocate S B Pandey, informed the court of a lack of instructions regarding Shishir's request. The authorities have been given a three-week deadline to conclude on the matter.
