In a shocking incident in northeast Delhi's Shastri Park, a 54-year-old e-rickshaw driver was shot following a dispute with two passengers, as reported by the police. The driver, identified as Ehsan, instructed the men to disembark when an argument erupted.
The confrontation escalated, resulting in the accused firing at Ehsan before escaping, according to witness accounts. While one suspect was apprehended by a passerby and handed over to the authorities, the other remains at large. Ehsan was swiftly taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra hospital and later transferred to GTB hospital for further medical attention.
Law enforcement officials have initiated a case and deployed teams to investigate the incident. A forensic team has collected evidence from the scene as the search for the second suspect continues, police disclosed.
