FBI's $200,000 Reward for Monica Witt: Ex-Air Force Agent on the Run

The FBI has announced a $200,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Monica Elfriede Witt, a former US Air Force counterintelligence specialist accused of espionage. Witt, who defected to Iran in 2013, allegedly provided Iran with sensitive US national defense information.

Special Agent Daniel Wierzbicki highlighted Witt's betrayal of her constitutional oath, marking her as a traitor. Despite her indictment in 2019, Witt remains at large, though authorities believe there are individuals who could help locate her.

The FBI's renewed interest in Witt's case comes amid ongoing tensions between the US and Iran. Witt's past work involved sensitive missions in the Middle East, and she allegedly assisted Iran in targeting US government personnel.
