In a bid to address gangster culture and anti-social behavior, the police in Haryana's Palwal have launched 'Operation Lagam'. This initiative targets the display of weapons and firearms on social media, resulting in six registered cases.
The operation involves a special cell dedicated to monitoring social media, with 38 users having been counseled and nearly 1,000 objectionable posts removed. Strict measures on roads include penalizing over 8,000 violators for traffic violations.
Palwal's Superintendent of Police, Nitish Agarwal, stated that the operation aims to eliminate rowdiness on roads and online platforms. SWAT teams and police units are actively enforcing this crackdown, ensuring no hooliganism is tolerated in the district.
