Pune police have arrested Shivaji Rathod, accused of planting a dummy IED in a local hospital to extort money for medical expenses, according to Commissioner Amitesh Kumar.

Rathod, running a garment shop, attempted to flee but was captured on Shalimar Express by the ATS and RPF.

Commissioner Kumar assured that the device contained no explosive material, confirming the absence of any terror links.
