Four individuals, including three in the Moscow area, were killed as Ukraine executed its most extensive overnight drone attack on the Russian capital in over a year, officials reported on Sunday. A fourth fatality occurred in the Belgorod region near northeastern Ukraine.

In a statement, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy confirmed the attack by posting a video on social media, emphasizing Ukraine's action as retaliation for Russia's continuous aggression. Accusing the Kyiv regime of civilian targeting, Russia's foreign ministry responded sharply.

As part of the escalating conflict, Ukraine has intensified drone strikes against Russian infrastructure. Moscow's mayor noted the destruction of 81 drones targeting the city, marking it the largest such assault in more than a year.
