Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis confirmed that a farm loan waiver would be in effect by June 30 as preparations reach their final phase. All data from districts is expected soon, he stated, adding that cabinet discussions were already underway.

Amid these developments, the Maratha quota dispute resurfaces with activist Manoj Jarange planning an indefinite hunger strike starting May 30. Jarange demands the government issue Kunbi caste certificates in Marathwada by May 29, accusing Fadnavis of stalling the process. Fadnavis defended the administration's actions, citing compliance with Supreme Court rules and established criteria as the basis for issuing certificates.

Furthermore, Fadnavis attended the International Agri Hackathon and announced the future renaming of the program to 'Maharashtra Agri Hackathon'. He urged party members not to follow his convoy in personal vehicles, endorsing Prime Minister Modi's fuel austerity measures.
