In a shocking turn of events in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district, a 56-year-old father was allegedly hacked to death by his son. The incident occurred after a heated argument over the son's drug addiction issues, police reported on Sunday.
The victim, Anirudh Tanti, succumbed to his injuries late on Saturday night after being attacked by his 20-year-old son, Vijay. The dispute reportedly escalated when Tanti reprimanded his son for substance abuse, leading to a violent confrontation.
Local residents rushed the critically injured father to a nearby hospital, from which he was referred to Sadar Hospital in Jamshedpur, but he unfortunately did not survive. Police are actively searching for the accused, who remains at large, according to Officer-in-Charge Sunny Toppo.
