An upsetting incident in the Bhapu Dham Colony has sparked outrage after a puppy was allegedly thrown into a burning tandoor outside a dhaba by an unidentified individual, police reported on Sunday.
The complaint came from a local worker returning from the Sector 26 grain market late Friday night, who claims to have witnessed the heart-wrenching act near the Sampark Centre.
Despite efforts to rescue the puppy, it succumbed to its injuries. Authorities have lodged a case under animal cruelty laws and are currently pursuing leads to apprehend the suspect.
