Uttar Pradesh CM Adityanath Advocates Shifted Namaz to Prevent Road Blockages

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a warning against the practice of offering namaz on public roads. Speaking at an event, he emphasized the importance of conducting such religious activities in organized shifts at allocated places of worship to prevent traffic disruptions.

Adityanath stressed that roads should remain unobstructed for commuting and not be used to create public scenes. He urged the community to comply with the rules by praying at designated sites, especially with Eid-ul-Adha approaching. He clarified that if space is a constraint, people should manage prayer in shifts.

Reacting to the chief minister's stance, the Samajwadi Party accused the BJP of using religion as a distraction from issues like unemployment and inflation. They criticized the statements as efforts to incite divisions ahead of elections, asserting a readiness to challenge what they describe as divisive politics.
