A 16-year-old boy was detained by police for allegedly eloping with a minor girl in Shamli district near here, officials said on Sunday.
Circle Officer Hemant Kumar said a case of abduction was registered against the juvenile following a complaint filed by the girl's mother.
According to the complaint, the 15-year-old girl went missing on May 20 after allegedly leaving home, the officer said.
Police found the duo on Friday evening, Kumar said.
