Nepalese Prime Minister Balendra Shah on Tuesday said that his government was committed to bringing real and tangible progress in the lives of the people of the Himalayan nation.

During a joint meeting with EU Ambassadors, Shah expressed his understanding of the responsibility bestowed by the citizens.

He assured the foreign envoys of policy continuity despite a new government post the March 5 election, as reported by the Prime Minister's secretariat.

Shah emphasized that being new does not mean detachment from the past, and committed to a clear, stable, and predictable policy orientation for Nepal.

He stated the government's focus on sustainable development, innovation, and facilitation of foreign investment, leveraging the global market for new opportunities.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed a pragmatic foreign policy under his government, focusing on mutual respect, sovereign equality, and shared prosperity.

Acknowledging the EU's assistance, he expressed gratitude to Nepal's development partners and highlighted ongoing collaborations in trade, investment, green energy, and tourism.
