Four Arrested as Arms Caches Found in Manipur Operations

In a significant crackdown, Manipur security forces have detained four individuals affiliated with banned militant groups and confiscated arms and explosives across multiple districts. These operations underscore ongoing efforts to combat insurgency in the region.
According to police reports, an individual was caught in Kakwa Lilando Lampak, Imphal West, early this week, and on the same day, a self-declared captain of the Peoples' Liberation Army (PLA) was taken into custody from his Kiyamgeu home in Imphal East. Further arrests of PLA and NRFM members occurred in Thoubal district.
As operations continued, authorities dismantled three unlawful bunkers in Ukhrul district, uncovering an IED stash and homemade firearms. A subsequent raid in Hengkot village, Churachandpur, yielded rifles, magazines, and IEDs, further crippling militant capabilities.
